Ingredients

Custard Cream
01
For the Filling:
02
1 lb (450g) ribeye steak, thinly sliced
03
1 tablespoon olive oil
04
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
05
1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced
06
1 teaspoon garlic powder
07
Salt and pepper, to taste
08
8 oz (225g) provolone cheese, sliced
09
8 oz (225g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
10
For the Stromboli:
11
1 package refrigerated pizza dough
12
1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
13
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
14
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
15
Marinara sauce (for dipping, optional)

Instructions

01
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell pepper, and cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
03
Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet with the onions and peppers. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the steak is browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
04
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, about 12x8 inches.
05
Place a layer of provolone cheese on the dough, leaving a border around the edges. Then, layer the cooked steak, onions, and peppers on top of the cheese. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the filling.
06
Carefully roll the dough from one edge to the other, sealing the edges as you go to form a log. Pinch the ends to seal the stromboli.
07
Place the stromboli seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
08
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese inside has melted.
09
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
