Ingredients

2 racks baby back ribs (about 4-5 pounds)

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 cup barbecue sauce of your choice

Instructions

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).

Remove the membrane from the bone side of the ribs by sliding a knife under it and pulling it off with a paper towel.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Rub spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.

Wrap each rack tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.

Remove ribs from oven and increase temperature to 450°F (230°C).
